Shoulder injury

Not sure this is the right place for this question, but I would like some suggestions for overcoming a shoulder injury.  About a month (maybe more) ago, I injured my shoulder reaching back/up (not during a workout).  I think that if I had gone much farther with it, I would have dislocated it.  The pain feels of the same type as a dislocation (I actually did dislocate the other shoulder years ago), but nothing near as severe.  I've tried not to stress it further, but it still hurts during certain movements (especially weight-bearing), and often aches even when not using it at all.  It's affecting my ability to do a full workout, as many activities (even those in which I support my body with my arms while working my legs) are painful.

What can I do?
